New Faces this Fall at Cramer Dentistry

October 24, 2019

Welcome Dr. Rainwater,  Kimberly, & Sara!

Wow! What a year it has been at Cramer Dentistry! 2019 has been a year of change and expansion, but at the end of the day our patient care is our top priority. We have been very selective when bringing on new team members and we want to keep you updated on who has joined us. Kimberly returned as our office manager after we said goodbye to Lori. Dr. Rainwater was hired earlier in the year, but we were waiting on his graduation from dental school and then his WA State License. We have all known Sara for quite awhile so we were thrilled when she joined our hygiene team in March. We’ve included a little more info about each of our new team members below so you can get to know them all better!

Most of you knew well in advance that we were expecting Dr. Rainwater to join us this summer. Well we are happy to announce he is now accepting patients! Dr. Rainwater grew up in Arizona and was drawn to dentistry because of a family friend who was a dentist. Seeing the work/life balance afforded by the profession, he interviewed and observed and realized this was what he wanted in a career.  He went on to attend ASU where he received his undergraduate degree in nutrition. Upon completion, he moved to Portland OR, where he attended dental school at OHSU, graduating this past May. Falling in love with the PNW, Mac and his family wanted to stay in the area and begin practicing dentistry.  Enter Cramer Dentistry. Mac said he was drawn to our office for a lot of reasons “but ultimately it came down to the core values that are not only preached, but practiced by each team member including excellence, integrity, compassion and teamwork. I have been blown away with the extremely positive and uplifting culture that has been implemented into this practice. “ Mac and his wife Anne have two sweet girls that keep them busy and two other little ones that will be joining their family soon! Family is their number one priority and together they enjoy reading, riding bikes, playing games & sports. Dr. Rainwater is also an avid lifelong learner and enjoys giving back to the community outside of work. He is a volunteer in various youth groups and dental missions. We are excited to have Dr. Rainwater on our team and welcome his family to our community!

Kimberly (Office Manager)DSC_3033-2

Many of you knew Kimberly when she worked as our billing specialist. Her role resulted in a move to a seperate billing location and we all missed her positive and uplifting attitude. You can imagine our excitement when we heard she would be returning to fill the role of office manager! Kimberly started in dentistry as a dental assistant, but soon realized it wasn’t the role for her. She quickly transitioned to the front office and has held various administrative positions within the dental field. She found this end of the office to be a better fit and said “I found fulfillment in being the first and last person a patient saw in hopes of having a direct impact on their

experience.” In 2014 she graduated from our very own Evergreen State College with her degree in Leadership and Deaf Cultural Studies. This degree has helped her become the impactful team leader that she is today. Kimberly joined Cramer Dentistry nearly six and a half years ago and has held multiple roles within the office. She is excited about her new role as office manager because “I have the opportunity to interact more with patients on a daily basis as well as fellow team members. I forgot how much I enjoyed these interactions and the opportunity to have a positive impact on their day. While at work, the highlight of my day is encouraging team members, collaborating with our leadership team, and interacting authentically with our patients.” When she’s not at work Kimberly enjoys spending time with her husband Jim and son Anderson. She says they are “an outdoor, faith-focused, book-loving family of three who cherish every moment together. You will find us outside at the nearest park, farmer’s market, or trail; exploring, running, or playing sports.
Otherwise, we are curled up reading the newest children’s story on construction, vehicles, or animals. We also spend weekly dates with our extended family; a long-time tradition.” Kimberly and Jim also spend their time mentoring young married couples in Marriage Ministry at True Grace Church and recently started a yearly marriage conference!

Sara (Dental Hygienist)DSC_3020-2

Sara grew up in New Mexico. She lived here for a short time, but it was all the time she needed to meet her now husband Eric. She ultimately moved back to New Mexico, and they were married 6 years later. Married for 22 years now, they have 4 great kids. Sara started her journey in dentistry as a dental assistant. After 8 years assisting she graduated hygiene school in 2013. She started working at our former Lacey practice in 2014 and joined Cramer Dentistry in March of this year. Many of you may have met Sara by now, as she is with us 4 sometimes 5 days a week! Sara has a passion for dental hygiene and is a sweet coworker who always puts patients’ needs first. One of her favorite things about dental hygiene is, “meeting new people. I love getting to know patients life stories. I feel like everyone has a story or experience to tell. I enjoy

working with patients so that they become more comfortable in the dental chair and have a better understanding of the oral and systemic connection.” When she’s not in the office Sara enjoys, camping, canning & gardening and genealogy research. She is also heavily involved with her kids sports and activities!

We are so grateful to have these three on our team and look forward to serving patients with them. If you see them in the office, please give them a warm welcome!
